Sleeping in the truck is like … you find a little out-of-the-way place once it’s starting to get dark and you make sure no one is watching you and you park and get in the back, put on all the clothes you got and all the blankets to stay warm and … all of a sudden there’s a cop knocking on your window at 3 a.m. to check if you’re OK and he says you gotta go somewhere else…

SafeLot is Now OPEN!

This program is designed to supplement our other homelessness services and lay the foundation to dramatically assist a population that is isolated, yet in need.

The HOPE SafeLot Program is one of the first of its kind in Colorado.
It will help people who have a barrier to entering a traditional homeless shelter to sleep safely in their vehicles without fear of assault or harassment.

The SafeLot Program will work in collaboration with our community.

We will offer:
Client advocate support
Evening hot meal

Lots will be secure and number of vehicles allowed will be limited. Only approved applicants may be a part of this program.
